the woods

Clearings in the woods provide quiet, secluded woodland settings bound by channels and a strong field edge for differently designed houses in the woods. These houses may have trellis carports or enclosed garages off the woods road or secondary driveways. The house forms are oriented to provide public linkage to parking areas and private unhindered views of the woods around them.

Nestled within the Woods settlement is an enclave of five cedar-built lodges organized along a common boardwalk and affectionaly known by its residents as the Pentagon. The enclave is framed by creeks on three sides and a wetland tree line on the other and sits beneath an umbrella canopy of deciduous trees forty to sixty feet high.
